Ohio Representative Lauren McNally announced that the Ohio Department of Development has approved $1.1 million in grant funding for the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Program.

This grant approval is a part of the Department of Development's Housing Assistance Grant Program.

"There are thousands of vulnerable Ohioans who are unable to afford critical repairs to their homes. Sometimes, people need help staying in their home when there are new accessibility issues. This funding will go a long way in making sure every Ohioan can live in their homes without safety concerns," said Rep. McNally.

The funds are intended to help low-income homeowners with essential home repairs and accessibility modifications.

The Housing Assistance Grant Program provides grant funding to nonprofits looking to provide emergency home repairs and modifications to accommodate disabilities.
