Howland High School is proud to celebrate senior Aidan Anders, who has officially committed to continue his academic and athletic career at Hiram College, where he will play baseball for the Terriers.

Aidan will graduate as a three-year letter winner in baseball for the Tigers and also made a strong impact as a member of the football team during his senior season. Known for his leadership, resilience, and team-first mentality, Aidan embodies everything it means to be a student-athlete at Howland. He is also a dedicated member of the National Honor Society and Pep Club, consistently leading both on and off the field.

Aidan’s impact behind the plate has been nothing short of transformational for the baseball program. Head Coach Britt Taylor described Anders as the “heart and soul” of the team.

“As a catcher, Aidan brings a rare combination of leadership, toughness, and high baseball IQ that sets the tone for every game,” said Coach Taylor. “His ability to handle a pitching staff, command the field, and come through in clutch moments made him an invaluable part of our program. Hiram College is gaining not only a talented catcher but a competitor and teammate who elevates everyone around him. Watching Aidan grow into a complete player and outstanding young man has been an honor.”

Aidan’s commitment to excellence extended beyond baseball. After returning to the football team for his senior year, he quickly became a valued leader in the locker room and on the field.

“Aidan possesses everything you want in a high school student-athlete,” said Head Football Coach Brian Jones. “Even though he joined us for one final season, he made a major impact in a short time. Despite facing a setback during the season, he never wavered in his commitment to his teammates, coaches, and program.

I’m thrilled he’s getting the opportunity to play baseball at the next level. He understands what it means to be a great teammate, and he’s never afraid of the grind. I can’t wait to see what he accomplishes at Hiram.”

Aidan’s work ethic, leadership, and competitive spirit have left an impact at Howland. As he prepares for this next chapter, the entire Tiger community congratulates him and looks forward to watching him succeed as a Hiram Terrier.
