The Ohio State football team was honored at the White House today with President Donald Trump.

Several dignitaries with local ties were part of the celebration and were introduced by the President including Lt. Governor & former Ohio State coach Jim Tressel, JJ Cafaro of the Cafaro Coporation and East Palestine Mayor Trent Conaway.

President Trump highlighted the teams success and even made reference to becoming Coach Ryan Day's agent because of how good a coach he is.

The President said January 20 was a great day for both him and the Buckeyes. That was Inauguration Day and later that  Ohio State beat Notre Dame in the national championship game.

Vice President JD Vance noticed someone with a Michigan hat and joked the secret service needs to be called.   Vance congratulated the Ohio State administration and Buckeye fans across the country.

The team presented the President with a Buckeye football helmet and a No. 47 Ohio State football jersey.

 

The President invited the team to the Oval Office following the outdoor ceremony.
