Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced on Monday that he has nominated John Logue to be the next director of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.

Logue has served as a leader in several roles within the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation, including his work as the Administrator and Deputy Administrator, and in these roles, leading one of the largest state-run insurance systems in the U.S.

He also holds a Bachelor's degree in economics and a master's degree in business administration from John Carroll University and Cleveland State University, respectively.

Governor DeWine's nomination of Logue must still be approved by the Ohio Senate.

"John Logue is a strong leader with a proven track record of serving Ohioans and leading important agencies," said Governor DeWine.

"I know John will continue the progress Ohio EPA has made during my administration protecting our air, land, and water."
