Traffic backed up due to downed phone line on 224 bridge over Ohio Turnpike
Traffic is being diverted through a nearby parking lot with businesses such as Key Bank until the road is cleaned up.

Traffic is backed up in both directions on Route 224 in Canfield Township due to a downed telephone line.
Cardinal Joint Fire District Chief Don Hutchison tells 21 News both eastbound and westbound traffic is backed up at the 224 bridge over the Ohio Turnpike. Work on this bridge had just begun last week.
Traffic is being diverted through a nearby parking lot with businesses such as Key Bank until the road is cleaned up.
Chief Hutchison says AT&T is currently at the scene and cleanup is expected to last roughly two hours. Hutchison is urging drivers to avoid the area if possible until the roadway is cleared.
