Youth Safety Workshop held in Youngstown Saturday

A Youth Safety workshop was held at the McGuffey Centre in Youngstown Saturday afternoon.
The event was put on by Homework Heroes, a virtual tutoring company, and featured speakers discussing tough subjects like bullying, cyber bulling and human trafficking.
Homework Heroes owner Thea Howell told 21 News she put on this event because the issue of children being reported as missing has been on her mind a lot lately.
"I am tired of putting missing kids on my Facebook Page, I am tired of AMBER Alerts and I wanted to do something about that," Howell said.
In addition to learning about stranger danger and human trafficking, the event also taught about internet safety, karate and boxing, emotional strengthening and much more.
The Yo! Blast Mobile was also on site at the event for guests to go inside and smash things up while wearing protective gear.
