A construction worker was injured Friday while working on the roof of a banquet center in Neshannock Township.

The worker was on the roof of the facility in the 3000 block of Wilmington Road in New Castle, working on repairing damage caused by high winds recently, when the worker fell through the roof and into the facility. 

Neshannock Township police identified the worker as a 23-year-old man from Mercer.

According to the facility's project manager, the construction worker was transported to a hospital in Youngstown. The manager said he did not know the extent of the worker's injuries.
