On the enchanted island ruled by the sorceress Alcina, nothing is as it seems. With her magical powers, Alcina transforms her former lovers into stones, animals, and plants when she tires of them. When the knight Ruggiero falls under her spell, his betrothed Bradamante embarks on a daring rescue mission, disguising herself as her own brother. What follows is a captivating story of illusion and reality, as characters navigate a landscape where true love battles against powerful enchantment.
The Dana Opera Ensemble, led by Dr. Misook Yun, is designed to help students learn about the process of creating an operatic experience according to the release.
