About a month after the East Palestine Train Derailment, McKim's Honeyvine Winery set up shop in the village as a brand new business.

However, it wasn't long before they realized foot traffic was lacking.

"We tried to open, we did like things on Fridays and Saturdays and tried to have like food and different things, entertainment and it just wasn't very busy," Ashley

McKim, Co-owner of McKim's Honeyvine Winery said.

In order to help the business survive, Ashley and co-owner Mike McKim who is also her husband, packed up and moved the business to Columbiana and reopened for the first time Tuesday.

"I came in about 9 o clock, opened up at about 10:30 and we had a full house in here," Ashley said. "We had to bring some seats from outside in," she said.

It was a welcome change of pace from their previous situation. All of the bottles of wine at McKim's cost $13.99. They have an array of different flavors and some unique ones like black cherry, peach apricot, blueberry and puppy love to name a few.

"Everything in here we brew, all the wines we make all of them," Ashley said. "We also have Rosalind's chocolates from New Brighton in Pennsylvania, we also have honey so we got like honey sticks, bottled honey, little lollipops, a little bit of something for everybody," she said.

The grand opening celebration will take place at 20 1/2 South Main Street from 9am to 6pm in Columbiana, right behind Salon Anthurium. The ribbon cutting will be at 4pm.

Ashley tells 21 News if the crowd sticks around, they may even stay open later on Friday.
