Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro announced that his administration is investing in 81 community projects across Pennsylvania through the "Main Street Matters,' program.

This includes awarding Penn-Northwest Development Corporation with $70,000 to work towards the Downtown Greenville Facade Improvement Program which aims to address blight and building neglect.

"Every Main Street matters ? and I'll continue bringing people together to invest in and improve our communities," said Governor Shapiro.

Mercer County also received $150,000 for the Mercer and Lawrence County Accessible Housing Program and $30,000 to improve its small business microloan program.

"This funding will continue the revitalization of Sharon and Greenville's downtowns, and support Mercer County's home accessibility program for our residents," said Pennsylvania Representative Parke Wentling.

The "Main Street Matters," program aims to promote economic development by helping grow small businesses and improving community infrastructure and plays a key part in Shapiro's 10-year Economic Development Strategy.
