Five vehicles were broken into on Saturday at St. Michael's Church in the 300 block of North Broad Street in Canfield.

Canfield Police were called to the rear parking lot around 5 p.m. after guests left the 4 p.m. mass service and discovered the rear windows had been smashed out.

The owners of the vehicles told police they had arrived between 3 pm and 4:03 pm Saturday afternoon.

Here is a list of the vehicles that were damaged and what was taken from each vehicle:

  • Cadillac XT6: Broken window, but no items stolen.
  • Cadillac XT4: A purse was taken containing a cell phone, $60 in cash, a $100 Kohl's gift card, two $30 Kohl's gift card and 10 miscellaneous cards removed.
  • Honda CR-V:  Black purse containing credit cards, $250 in cash, a wallet, a debit card, another credit card and a cell phone.
  • Jeep Renegade: Purse, wallet, and a coin purse containing a driver's license, glasses, a cell phone, credit cards, and medical cards.  
  • Jeep Compass: No items missing.

Police are investigating the break-ins.
