Cornersburg man fatally stabbed during property dispute; Suspect arrested in Pittsburgh

A suspect has been arrested in connection with Friday night's stabbing death at an apartment on Tippecanoe Road in Youngstown's Cornersburg neighborhood.
Police were dispatched to an apartment on Tippecanoe Rd. just south of Canfield Road at 7:55 PM Friday for a reported stabbing.
Officers discovered the victim, identified as Nestor Diaz, 37, with a stab wound to his abdomen. Despite immediate aid rendered by officers and EMTs, Diaz was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Youngstown Police Department Detective Division and Crime Scene Unit responded to the location to conduct an investigation. Their initial findings revealed that the suspect, identified as Camilo Barreto, 38, allegedly stabbed Diaz following a property dispute.
Detectives were able to track Barreto to the Pittsburgh area. With the assistance of the Baldwin Borough Police Department, Barreto was taken into custody.
Barreto is currently being held in the Allegheny County Jail on a charge of murder and will await extradition to Ohio to face the charge.
