Drivers whose Monday morning commute includes Trumbull County may want to leave early.

Troopers are reporting icy bridges along several highways.

At 7:30 a.m., a traffic accident along the Route 5 Bypass had westbound traffic backed up and several lanes were closed beyond Perkins Jones Road.

First Responders were called to a one-vehicle crash along the turnpike at approximately mile marker 208, westbound, just before 6 a.m.

Troopers and EMTs found a heavily damaged SUV along the median.

One person was taken to the hospital. There's no word yet on the extent of the victim's injuries.

Within a half hour of the turnpike crash, a car slid off Route 422 in Champion Township. 

ODOT trucks were called out at 6 a.m. to salt several roads, including the Route 5 Bypass.
