Phantoms, Fairhaven Foundation partner for inclusive game experience for those with developmental disabilities

The Youngstown Phantoms are honoring individuals with developmental disabilities and their families during Saturday's game against the Chicago Steel.
The team has partnered with the Fairhaven Foundation for the event.
The evening includes watching the Phantoms battle the Steel, classic game day food and some special experiences to celebrate the fans from the Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull County Boards of Developmental Disabilities.
Some of those experiences include sitting on the bench with the team, riding on the zamboni, the puck drop and the fan tunnel.
More than 600 people have registered for the event.
The Fairhaven Foundation and the Phantoms have worked together to create an inclusive experience, including a sensory room, decreased volume for announcements, a universal changing space and early access to the venue.
The game begins at 6:05 p.m.
