Deputies: Wellsville man attempted to flush meth

A Wellsville man was arrested after attempting to flush methamphetamine down a toilet during a drug raid, according to the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Brian McLaughlin and deputies assisted the Columbiana County Drug Task Force in serving simultaneous search warrants at 502 10th St. and 926 Wood St. in Wellsville on Wednesday, according to the sheriff’s office.
At the Wood Street address, agents say Keith Goss Jr. had attempted to flush a large amount of methamphetamine after they announced their presence. Agents collected about 15 grams of methamphetamine from the toilet’s pipes, the sheriff’s office said.
Agents also seized a shotgun, a pistol, and 28 grams of suspected ecstasy from the home. Paraphernalia and packaging material consistent with drug trafficking were also found, the sheriff’s office said.
A search of the 10th Street address turned up drug paraphernalia and suspected narcotics.
