More wet weather is on the way
After a noisy and soggy night, more wet weather is in the forecast through the end of the weekend.
Thursday afternoon will stay quiet and warmer with high temperatures in the low 70s. Showers will work back in before sunset and turn heavy at times overnight into Friday morning.
A few showers will linger into Friday morning, but the afternoon will be comfortable with high temperatures in the upper 50s with plenty of cloud cover. More heavy rain will work into the area Friday night into Saturday morning.
Heavy, steady rain will taper early on, but scattered showers and even thunderstorms will remain in the forecast for the second half of the day. heavier rain will pump back in Saturday evening into Sunday morning.
After some showers early on Sunday morning, the second half of the day will turn dry but will be chilly with high temperatures only in the mid-40s.
A rainfall forecast of an additional 2-3 inches is expected through the end of the weekend, with an event total of 3-4 inches from Wednesday through Sunday.
Next week will start off chilly, with high temperatures in the upper 40s on Monday and with high temperatures falling to the upper 30s on Tuesday, with some light snow possible.
