Panera Bread will donate a portion of shortbread tulip cookie sales to the Potential Development School for Students with Autism. The “Blooms of Hope for Autism” campaign will run from April 7 to April 13.

For each tulip cookie sold at seven Panera Bread locations in the Mahoning Valley during the week, $1 will be donated to the school.

Covelli Enterprises said it has donated more than $2.27 million to autism organizations since 2010.

Potential Development will also receive donations through Panera’s Operation Dough-Nation program during April. The program allows customers to make monetary donations at registers.

“Their commitment to our school and community has been instrumental in raising autism awareness and providing essential support for our students,” said Paul Garchar, CEO of Potential Development.

The tulip cookie is a shortbread cookie with pink, yellow, and green icing. The cookies can be purchased in-store and online for pickup or delivery.

Covelli Enterprises operates nearly 300 Panera Bread locations in eight states.
