"It's exciting times here at Sharon Regional," the hospital's CEO Butch Eavenson said with a smile Wednesday.

He talked among a room full of resumes, interviews, and follow-ups, with applicants for jobs ranging from maintenance to nurses.

"The response from the community and patients has just been incredible for us," Eavenson said.

In many ways, Wednesday's job fair seemed ordinary.
Little more than two weeks into its reopening, Sharon Regional Medical Center looks to continue the momentum - restoring services to get back up to baseline.

"We have surgical services, we have our cardiac cath lab, cardiac rehab, endoscopy, so quite a few service lines we're bringing back, that'll happen, we're hoping within 10 days," said Eavenson.

He expects other services to be restored as growth continues down the road.
But in the face of so much uncertainty at former Steward hospitals, not all the circumstances behind Wednesday's job fair are ordinary.
Despite that, Eavenson is putting that uncertainty in the rearview mirror - expressing confidence in Tenor Health's leadership.

"It's watching expenses, so we're very close in watching our expenses and our contracts and watching where we spend money, but also making sure that we're doing a good job and being good stewards of the cash coming in the door."

And if the job fair's huge turnout is any indication, Sharon Regional just may have the formula for long-term success figured out.

"I think people are seeing the excitement we're generating, the culture we're building and the incredible facility that we are here," Eavenson said.
