A man wanted by Brookfield police following a high-speed chase last week has been captured in Pennsylvania.

Daniel Moerch, 42, was apprehended Tuesday, and is currently being held in the Mercer County Jail.

Moerch was wanted on a felony charge of failure to comply after leading police on a pursuit March 26. The chase ended when Moerch abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot into a wooded area between East Poland Avenue and Smalls Ferry Road in North Beaver Township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.

In addition to the felony charge, Moerch faces charges of receiving stolen property, reckless operation, and driving with a suspended license.

Police had previously said Moerch was known to frequent Sharon, Pennsylvania, and Niles, Ohio.
