Accident in New Springfield leaves long stretch of E. Garfield Rd. without power

An accident on the 1800 block of East Garfield Road has taken the power out for the westbound portion of the road.
Springfield Township Police and Fire arrived on the scene shortly after hearing about a telephone pole being hit. EMT was also at the scene to tend to anyone who was injured in the crash.
The telephone pole and wires ended up in the street following the accident.
