A new week has begun, but employees of Insight Hospital and Medical Center, along with those at its rehabilitation hospital, are still waiting to receive their paychecks.

On Friday Insight said payroll was delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. Days later employees sought out answers via an email. They only received a form email in response, saying payroll managers have no updates and are waiting for more information from Insight leadership.

"Not having that money, and not knowing when it's going to come, having bills, things like that, it's very frustrating," Cierra Mosholder, Insight social worker said.

In addition to missing paychecks, sources say healthcare coverage for employees has officially been terminated. AFSCME president Tom Connolly says he and other nurses will convene on Monday night to see what legal steps to take.

"I really don't know where our strategy is going to go, but I do know that there are legal options available to us," Connolly said.

Mosholder has worked at the hospital for almost two years, at this point she feels she has no other choice but to find another job. She said she feels abandoned by a company that had promised they would be there.

"I don't feel that there's been much compassion when it's come to making sure we're informed and we're in the know. Even our unions, they haven't gotten much information or updates either. There were many occasions where they reached out, were ignored, sent to voicemail...and it's really devastating," Mosholder said.
