Local State Representative appointed to Ohio Infant Mortality Commission

State Representative Lauren McNally (D-Youngstown) announced her assignment to the Ohio Commission on Infant Mortality for the 136th General Assembly on Monday.
The Commission was founded in 2014 as a collection of representatives from legislature, government agencies, the healthcare sector, and community-based programs with a mission to advise the governor on how to best lower infant mortality rates in Ohio.
"Infant mortality is an issue I've been working on since my time on Youngstown City Council," said Rep. McNally.
"I'm grateful for the opportunity to be able to engage with this issue from a higher level. As a state, Ohio's infant mortality rate is above the national average. We need to do better and we have the resources at the state level to be able to do better," McNally added.
