Browns owner Jimmy Haslam says the teams trade for DeShaun Watson was a "big swing and miss."

"We took a big swing and a miss with DeShaun. We thought we had the quarterback & we didn't," said Haslam via ESPN's Daniel Oyefusi.

The Browns signed Watson is 2022 to a fully guaranteed $230 million contract.  He's played in only 19 games because of injuries and suspensions and is recovering from his second Achilles injury and may not play in 2025.

Haslam said the trade was organization decision an it ends with Dee (his wirfe & co owner) and I, so hold us accountable.

The team owes Watson $46 million in 2025 & 2026.
