Valley schools, companies invited to donate to homeless population in Home Opener Dress Down

Baseball season is now in full swing and the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley is calling on schools and businesses across the area to pitch in to support the homeless.
The Rescue Mission is inviting schools and businesses to participate in the Home Opener Dress Down Day, an event chaired by Major League Baseball umpire John Hirschbeck to support the Rescue Mission's effort to help the homeless population in the Valley.
Participating schools and businesses will be collecting small donations from employees, who can then wear their best Cleveland Guardians or Pittsburgh Pirates gear on the days of their respective home opener games.
The home opener for the Pittsburgh Pirates is Friday, April 4 and the home opener for the Cleveland Guardians is Tuesday, April 8.
