Cleveland Metroparks seeks public help naming k-9 puppies

The Cleveland Metroparks Police Department is calling on the public to help name its two newest recruits, male Belgian Malinois puppies.
Born in January, the puppies are undergoing training to specialize in narcotics detection. Before officially joining the force, they need names.
For the next two weeks, the public can vote on potential names by donating online at clevelandmetroparks.com/k9naming. The available name pairs are Ike and Sig, Drago and Mako, and Zero and Tango.
Donations will support the Cleveland Metroparks K-9 unit, providing the puppies with necessary tools, equipment, and enrichment for all K-9 officers.
The voting concludes at midnight on April 14. The winning name pair will be determined by the highest donation total. Participants can vote multiple times.
The Metroparks K-9 unit, active for over 20 years, assists with tracking, odor detection, evidence search, and other tasks. The unit frequently collaborates with neighboring police departments and participates in community outreach.
