A tree fell onto a home in Hermitage during storms that rolled through the Valley early Monday, damaging the house and knocking power out to the neighborhood for a time.

According to authorities, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. on Miller Road. No one inside the home was injured.

The fallen tree damaged the residence's side and roof. It also tore down power lines, resulting in outages on Miller Road and the adjacent South Darby Road.

There were several reports of downed trees and wires during the storms in Mercer County. As of 4:30 a.m. FirstEnergy reported 21 outages.  The utility expected power to be restored by 6:30 a.m.
