Food and cash assistance recipients will need OHID to access online portal
According to the release, an OHID is a state-issued set of login credentials that allows people to use a single username and password to access multiple state programs and services.

Ohioans who receive food and cash assistance will soon need an OHID to access their online account.
The changes are taking place this weekend for the self-service portal - benefits.ohio.gov - which is used by people with assistance programs including the Supplement Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Ohio Works First (OWF) cash benefits.
According to the release, an OHID is a state-issued set of login credentials that allows people to use a single username and password to access multiple state programs and services.
The change also includes multi-factor authentication and other security measures to protect user data.
