A Sharpsville woman is in the Mahoning County jail after being arrested on Friday on a charge of violating her probation.

44-year-old Erin L. Henderson Carter is scheduled to appear in Mahoning County on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. for a probable cause hearing in Judge Maureen Sweeney's court.

Carter was booked into Mahoning County Jail under the name Erin Henderson, with a notation of her also using the last name Carter.

In August 2023, Carter pleaded guilty to one count of telecommunication fraud (F3) and one count of Grand Theft (F4). Carter also received 5 years' community control sanctions and was ordered to have no contact with the victim or their family, must follow probation regulations, and ordered to pay $608 restitution monthly and continue to do so until the money taken was repaid. 

The order stated that any violation could result in a 4.5-year prison sentence. Court records show Carter owed a total of $43,492.42 in restitution and has paid back $10,341 so far. 

In October 2022, Carter also pleaded guilty to identity fraud (F5) in Judge Sweeny's court and was sentenced in late October 2023 to no contact with the victim and probation for 5 years.

In November 2024, Carter was charged in Pennsylvania on charges of forgery (F2), criminal use of communication facility (F3) and theft by unlawfully taking movable property (F3). Carter is scheduled to appear on April 9 at 9 am to face those charges in Judge D. Neil McEwen's court in Mercer County and on June 4 at 8:30 am.

Carter's bond in the Mercer case was set at $50,000.
