SOURCE: No Insight employees have received paycheck as of Friday morning
21 News has confirmed with a source that all employees who worked at Insight-owned hospitals in Trumbull County have not received their paychecks on time for the current pay period.
Several calls came in to our newsroom Friday morning from several anonymous Insight employees who said they have not received their paychecks yet. Employees are paid weekly and paychecks usually show up around 7 a.m.
Chrissy Lewis with the Service Employees International Union confirmed with 21 News that no employees have received their paychecks yet. Lewis says the union has reached out to Insight for answers, but has not gotten any yet.
21 News has also received a copy of a notice sent to employees and signed by Insight Founder Dr. Jawad Shah informing them of a delay in the release of their paychecks due to "unforeseen circumstances." The full text of this notice can be read below.

This is the latest development in a rapidly evolving situation for Insight.
Earlier this week, nearly all departments at Insight Hospital & Medical Center Trumbull and Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital have shut down indefinitely due to developments in Steward Health's bankruptcy case. This resulted in several employee layoffs.
As of 3 p.m. Thursday, the hospital's emergency department is no longer accepting new patients and existing patients are being transferred elsewhere.
