Boardman Rock Orchestra to perform ‘Project Mayhem’ Friday night

Tickets for the Boardman Rock Orchestra's "Project Mayhem" performance have been selling rapidly, according to school officials.
The performance, scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, March 28, at the Boardman Performing Arts Center, features 45 student musicians from the Boardman Orchestra, student vocalists, and a professional laser light show.
Bill Amendol, the orchestra's director, said in a news release that the students practice year-round for the two-hour show. "It's a labor of love that allows them to be 'rock stars' on our BPAC stage," he said.
The "Project Mayhem" performance, which began in 2006, has sold out the 1,650-seat venue for the past four years, according to the release.
Tickets are $10 and are available at the main entrance of Boardman High School, Door 1, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
