The Eastwood Mall will once again host a sensory-friendly visit from the Easter Bunny for autistic children Sunday, April 6.

From 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. April 6, the mall will be hosting the event put on by the Autism Society of the Mahoning Valley to ensure families of children with special needs can still enjoy seasonal traditions like photos with the Easter Bunny in a more sensory-friendly environment.

During the event, the in-mall music will be turned off and the lights will be dimmed. Queue lines will also be eliminated in favor of a system where guests can see the Easter Bunny when their number is called.

There will also be special activities and stories geared towards the children's needs during the wait period to help them understand what activities will happen during the visit.

Each family will receive a free 5x7 family photo with the Easter Bunny. In addition to the photo op, the event will also include arts and crafts, games, train rides, a 1,000 Easter egg hunt and therapy bunnies.
