The Youngstown State bowling team is heading to the NCAA Tournament for a fourth straight year.

The previous trips were all in the Lansing, Michigan, but this time the Penguins are heading to Rochester, New York as the third-overall seed.

YSU is joined in New York by Marian, Wisconsin, St. Vincent, North Carolina A&T and Louisiana Tech.

"I think we have an amazing team," said Madison Doseck, one of six seniors.

"We have a big roster that has a lot of depth," continues Doseck, adding that any player can "go" at any minute.

A year ago the Penguins were national runner up and head coach Doug Kuberski remembers it.

"I think there's a sense of we're excited to be there but there is some unfinished business to tend to and this team wants to do the job," said Kuberski.

The Penguins have six seniors that have been together for four years and Kuberski said he feels they can get the job done.

The finals are April 11 and 12 in Las Vegas and senior Lyndsay Ellis said it best based on last year.

"We didn't go home with the national title then I'd say you have reason to go back, right!"

The regionals start April 4.
