The case of a Greenville man who is accused of stealing and destroying flower vases and veterans markers from graves has been bound over to a higher court.

According to court records, 36-year-old Cody Brown is scheduled for a formal arraignment on Tuesday, May 27. Brown is facing charges of receiving stolen property, desecration, theft or sale of venerated objects and criminal mischief, as well as several traffic offenses.

The charges were filed after police say dozens of bronze flower vases and veterans markers went missing from gravestones at the Shenango Valley Cemetery back in November of 2024.

Investigation revealed that Brown had allegedly taken pieces of those vases and veterans markers to the Greenville Recycling Center for money.
