Pymatuning police charged a Franklin man with unlawful contact with a minor earlier this month, now the man is set for arraignment.

The 38-year-old Steven Dashner came into Mercer County District Court 3-3 on Tuesday to attend his preliminary hearing for charges brought to him on March 5.

Dashner was charged with unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of minors for allegations put against him by a 17-year-old Mercer County High School student.

According to the criminal complaint, Dashner had sent sexually explicit photos featuring his genitals to the student as well as requesting to see the 17-year-olds body.

The complaint also states that the 17-year-old claimed Dashner to be her ex-boyfriend's father.

Pymatuning police came to Dashner on February 18 to discuss this matter. According to the complaint when Dashner was confronted with the situation he claimed to have no idea the complainant was a minor.

Dashner's arraignment is scheduled to occur at 9 a.m. on May 27.
