Former YSU receiver excited for second season in NFL

Tennessee Titans receiver Bryce Oliver is back in Youngstown this week checking out his former team practice.
"First of all it's a blessing, it's a big learning curve , learning the play book was a big difference for me, learning all the positions on the field," said Oliver following Tuesday's Penguin practice.
Oliver, who played in the second half of his rookie season, had six receptions for 95 yards.
"YSU put me in great position to be able to translate well," added Oliver who'll head back to Tennessee later this week and get ready for OTA's next month.
Oliver spent the first eight games of his rookie season on the Titan's practice squad and called it a learning experience.
Once promoted to the active roster Oliver found a role as a "gunner" on special teams which then led to some offensive plays.
"Just trying to find my niche," said Oliver who scored in the preseason and called it a learning experience.
"To get in the end zone in the preseason, it's just a blessing."
Oliver, who's under contract for 2025 says taking the next step is at the forefront of his agenda, whether its special teams or being a receiver , is to have a pivotal role with the team.
While playing for the Penguins, Oliver broke the school record for career receiving touchdowns with 26.
"Some of the stuff I did here (YSU) with Mitch (Davidson) during the off season, in season, and taking care of my body, all of that stuff translated to where I am today," he said.
Oliver knows he has to work harder in 2025 knowing someone out there is always looking to take your job.
