The Museum of Science Fiction and Fantasy Arts launched its first exhibit on a Valley-born movie prop designer and his work on sci-fi movies in Hollywood.

John Zabrucky was born in Warren and ended up attending college at both Youngstown State University and Kent State University before getting into the prop designing business.

He worked to make props for Star Trek, Ghostbusters and RoboCop among other blockbuster movies from the late 20th century.

The props used in many of Zabrucky's works throughout Hollywood are on display at the exhibit from now until June 28.

Those interested in the exhibit and find it at the Medici Museum of Art in Warren from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free but donations are welcome.
