A new Michaels store has officially opened in New Castle following a Grand Opening event Saturday and Sunday.

The store is Located in the Union Plaza Shopping Center at 290 Dworman Way, Suite 102 and follows a modern minimalist design and features self-checkout registers, an in-store Michaels Custom Framing Center and the wide range of crafting and DIY supplies the franchise is known for.

This is just one of the many planned stores opening with the new modern format that will be featuring a new form of self-service for Michaels known as "Buy Online Pick-Up In Store" (BOPIS) as well as curb side pick-up. 

The updated format is designed to represent Michaels' efforts to innovate across all facets of their business in order to "bring customers a more seamless shopping experience." 

This is the third Michaels location in the area with two more being located in Boardman and Niles respectively.
