According to a post from the Columbiana County, Ohio Prosecutor's Office Facebook page, an East Liverpool man has been sentenced to six to nine years in state prison on one count of felonious assault (F2).

Lonnie Barker, 41, was sentenced on March 20 following a three-day jury trial presided over by Judge Scott Washam.

He was convicted on March 13.

Barker will spend the six to nine year term held in a state correctional facility.

Columbiana County Prosecutor Vito Abruzzino and his staff want to thank the St. Clair Township Police Department and Liverpool Township Police Department for their assistance on the case according to the Facebook post.

Barker was originally indicted in July of 2023 on one count of felonious assault (F2).

The indictment document states that Barker knowingly caused "serious physical harm" to a female victim on or around May 10 in 2023.
