Recall issued for Target brand cheesecake due to missing allergen label

Dessert Holdings LLC has issued a recall for the Target brand Favorite Day™ Gourmet New York Style Cheesecake six ounce two count products due to a missing label that indicated pecan presence.
The recall statement says that, on March 14, a customer complaint said the product contained pecans, but the packaging did not declare a pecan allergy.
The lot code stated in the recall release is 25028A1 000039133 with a UPC of 0 85239 09690.
Impacted products were distributed between February 14 and March 7 to Target Distribution Centers in California, Florida, Iowa, Ohio and Texas.
The recalled products are packaged in clear plastic clam shell containers and sold in Target stores.
Consumers who have purchased the mislabeled product may contact Target Guest Relations at (800) 444-0680 for a full refund, or Dessert Holdings Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST at (720) 766-9060 or marketing@dessertholdings.com.
According to the recall statement, the issue has been corrected and no illnesses have been reported at the time of the issuance.
Individuals with an allergy or severe sensitivity to pecans could run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if the mislabeled products were consumed.
