Mill Creek's annual distance classic run cause for road and trail closures in the park
The closures and restrictions will be in effect from the hours of 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. and apply to all motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.

Mill Creek will be hosting its annual Youngstown Road Runners Club Mill Creek Distance Classic Half Marathon and 5-Mile Run on Sunday, March 23. The park will be closing down several bike trails and roads within the park to ensure the safety of both runners and spectators.
The closures and restrictions will be in effect from the hours of 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. and apply to all motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.
Below is a list of all the areas that will be temporarily closed during this run.
- Bears Den Road
- New Cross Drive
- West Park Drive
- West Cohasset Drive
- High Drive
- Chestnut Hill Drive
- East Park Drive
- Valley Drive
- East Park Hike & Bike Trail
- East Cohasset Hike & Bike Trail
- Robinson Hill Drive
- Memorial Hill Drive (heading to Slippery Rock Bridge)
- West Glacier Drive
- Wick Recreation Area Tennis Courts and Dek Hockey Rink
Some areas will have limited access instead of being closed on Sunday.
- Ford Nature Center Will only be accessible through Volney Road from Glenwood Avenue
- The Lily Pond and Birch Hill Cabin will only be accessible through the McCollum Road entrance to Birch Hill Drive.
- Trail access to Robinson Hill Drive and West Glacier Drive will be closed during the event
