Just days after folks gathered outside of a Boardman restaurant against Valley Congressman Michael Rulli, protestors are speaking out against him once more, this time outside of his office in Canfield.

Friday's protest was organized by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and focused on potential cuts to services like Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.

Event organizer and campaign strategist for SEIU District 1199 Jeff Dieringer talked about what could be at stake if these cuts happen.

"Medicare takes care of the poor, it takes care of seniors, people with disabilities [and] children, and these cuts that they're proposing are going to be absolutely devastating. ... We're just out here to bring awareness to that [and] to hold Representative Rulli accountable for these and to urge him to urge him to stand up and say no to these cuts," Dieringer said.

Another concern reiterated from the previous protest was Rulli's lack of availability in speaking with his constituents. Michael Kripchak, who ran against Rulli for his Congressional seat called on Rulli to hold a town hall for the folks he represents.

"Stop being a coward. Hold a town hall for your constituents, the people you are actually supposed to be working for. We won't bite, we promise," Kripchak said.
