Several Valley fire departments receive grants to address critical equipment, training needs

Several fire departments in all three Mahoning Valley counties have received funding from the Ohio State Fire Marshal's Office to support critical equipment and training needs.
These grants are part of approximately $2.52 million awarded to fire departments across Ohio through the Ohio State Fire Marshal's annual Equipment and Training Reimbursement grant programs.
"These grants provide our brave men and women with the life-saving training and equipment they need to save lives of Ohioans. While these grants benefit and strengthen the state's fire service, these funds are critically important to Ohio's volunteer departments, which in many cases have very limited resources," said Ohio State Fire Marshal Kevin Reardon.
