Several roads and facilities throughout Mill Creek MetroParks will temporarily close on Sunday, March 23.

The MetroParks will be hosting the Youngstown Road Runners Club Mill Creek Distance Classic Half Marathon and 5 Mile Run on Sunday.

This event will result in several roads and facilities within the MetroParks to close to vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian traffic between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 1 p.m.

- Bears Den Road

- New Cross Drive

- West Park Drive

- High Drive

- Chestnut Hill Drive

- East Park Drive

- Valley Drive

- East Park Hike & Bike Trail

- Robinson Hill Drive

- Memorial Hill Drive (heading to Slippery Rock Bridge)

- West Glacier Drive

The following facilities will have limited access during the hours listed above:

- The Ford Nature Center will only be accessible via Volney Road from Glenwood Avenue

- The Lily Pond and Birch Hill Cabin will only by accessible via the McCollum Road entrance to Birch Hill Drive

- Trail access to Robinson Hill Drive near the Ford Nature Center and West Glacier Drive near the Lily Pond will be closed during the event
