A man who was reported to be in critical condition after police say he was shot on Youngstown's South Side Friday has been pronounced dead.

Police tell 21 News that the victim was taken to the hospital after a shooting along East Lucius Avenue near South Avenue at around 5 a.m. Friday.

According to a police report, police found the victim laying in front of a home unresponsive on the 500 Block of East Lucius. Police performed life-saving measures on him until EMT arrived.

Lieutenant Mohammad Awad tells 21 News the victim died of his injuries Sunday night. The man's name has not been released yet.
