The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County will hold a public meeting on Tuesday to discuss planned exterior improvements to the East Branch Library.

The meeting will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the East Branch Library, 430 Early Road, Youngstown.

The library said a recent study identified needed improvements, and the project is part of an effort to provide resources to the community.

Library officials said they would share an overview and scope of the project, which includes improvements to the roof, siding, and grounds surrounding the branch.

Community members are encouraged to attend and learn how the improvements will enhance the library’s role as a resource for Youngstown families.

Aimee Fifarek, library director and CEO, and Jordan Shaver, chief operating officer, will lead the meeting.
