A Warren man was taken to the hospital after police say he was stabbed while he was taking out the trash.

According to a police report, police were called to a home on the 1900 Block of Benton Street shortly after 8 p.m. for a reported stabbing.

Police spoke with the victim who told officers he was taking out the trash when somebody stabbed him. The man was unable to tell police any details on who the attacker could have been.

Police saw a large gash on the man's arm and said he was bleeding "fairly heavily." Blood was seen on the sidewalk, at the entrance to the home, in the living room and in the kitchen.

The man was taken to the hospital for treatment. Police do not have any suspects at this time.
