An Austintown man facing multiple child pornography charges learned his fate on Thursday.
Twenty-four-year-old William Shaltz was sentenced to five years in prison with credit for 69 days served after pleading guilty to five counts of pandering sexually-oriented material involving a minor.
Once he's released, Shatlz will have to register as a tier 2 sex offender.
An indictment reveals Shaltz was originally indicted on 10 counts, but the other five were dropped as a result of a plea deal. Shaltz's crimes happened in April of 2024 according to that indictment.
