East Palestine Human Trafficking sting nabs suspect 100 miles from his home

The latest person arrested in continuing human trafficking stings in Columbiana County allegedly told an undercover agent that he had two daughters as he set up an appointment for a paid sexual encounter.
David Lynn, who will turn 56 next month, was arrested Wednesday in East Palestine, more than 100 miles from his home in the Pittsburgh suburb of Smock, Pennsylvania.
According to an affidavit filed by Detective Daniel Hauter of the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force, Lynn responded to an undercover advertisement posted on a website known for prostitution. He allegedly arranged to engage in sexual activity with two females in exchange for $250.
The affidavit states that when Lynn arrived at the agreed-upon location on state Route 170 in East Palestine on Wednesday, he had the cellphone allegedly used to coordinate the alleged activity and the $250.
The affidavit also stated that Lynn told an undercover agent that he has two daughters and discussed "taboo stories" and familial relations with the undercover agent.
Lynn was arraigned via video Thursday in Columbiana County Municipal Court where he pleaded “not guilty” to charges of engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools.
Engaging in prostitution is a first-degree misdemeanor in Ohio. Possessing criminal tools is also a misdemeanor.
Bond was set at $2,500 for Lynn, who spent the night in the Columbiana County Jail.
A pre-trial hearing in the case is scheduled for June 5.
