The Mahoning County Commissioners plan to consider construction bids Thursday on a $4 million project to rehabilitate Youngstown’s Market Street Bridge.

In addition to repairing the bridge piers, the project includes new lighting and fencing.

Bids considered at the commissioner's regular weekly meeting include $350,000 from the Mannik Smith Group, and a $3,723,105 bid from BG Trucking and Construction, 95% of which would be covered by state funding.

Last year the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Local Major Bridge Program announced a $1,878,000 grant for the project.
