Champion Township man killed in Route 5 motorcycle crash

A Champion Township man died in a motorcycle crash Wednesday evening on State Route 5.

David L. Goberish, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred at approximately 7:26 p.m., according to a news release from the patrol’s Warren Post.

Goberish was driving a 2009 Harley Davidson eastbound on State Route 5 when the motorcycle traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck the median cable barrier, the patrol said.

Speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash, according to Troopers.

The crash remains under investigation.
